On Tuesday, 11th October, the Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, Professor Pierre Gomez received the Vice Chancellor of Accra Technical University (ATU) at MoHERST premises in Bijilo. Fruitful discussions were made regarding areas of cooperation in the tertiary and higher education system of The Gambia.
The Hon. Minister Prof Gomez was pleased by the visit stating there is a need to learn more from ATU’s best practices, which can be adopted by the new University of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology, the University of The Gambia, and other satellite institutions.
The Permanent Secretary of MoHERST, Dr Yusupha Touray welcomed the delegation and assured them that ways of further collaboration will be looked into in order to benefit from the mutual relationship.
