President Barrow visits to USET TVET Center in Mansakonko

As part of his meet-the-people tour, the President of The Republic of The Gambia, His Excellency Adama Barrow on the 30th of November, 2022 visited the USET TVET Center in Mansakonko. During his visit, the President, accompanied by the Minister of Higher Education, Professor Gomez, formally opened the Center Dormitories built by GAMWORKS through the Regional Stabilization and Development Fund in ECOWAS, funded by the German Government. His Excellency Adama Barrow also visited the MRC Holland built classrooms of the skills center.

Furthermore, President Barrow was taken through a special exhibition of innovations from students of the USET TVET Centre in Mansakonko. The student innovations include;

  1. An Arch
  2. Garden benches
  3. Chainless bicycle,
  4. Bookshelf
  5. Air-cooler
  6. Griller
  7. Mixer and many others.

The President was pleased by the student innovations and advised the youth to take up skills learning for the benefit of their communities and the development of the country.
