On Saturday, 8th June, 2023, the Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, Honourable Professor Pierre Gomez visited The Gambia College in Brikama to assess the condition of the campus, especially the dormitories. Hon. Prof Gomez toured around the dormitories’ different facilities which were in extremely poor condition. To this effect, he ordered the closure of the dormitories for renovations.

Furthermore, the Ministry has engaged MRC Holland Foundation for support in renovating the dormitories likewise, building new ones for both male and female sections. Thus, work will begin immediately. On behalf of his Ministry, he thanked MRC Holland Foundation for their constant support of The Gambia's Tertiary and Higher Education system. 

According to Hon. Gomez, his Ministry will continue its work towards providing comfortable teaching and learning environments for both teachers and students.
