The Gambia, Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) and Qatar signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) on co-operation in the fields of 

Education.

The MoU was signed by Hon. Badara A. Joof Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, The Gambia and HE the Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Mohamed Abdul Wahed Ali al-Hammadi of Qatar, during a meeting between both parties in Doha.

The MoU includes the development of co-operation and relationship between the two countries in all fields of education and science including higher education, scientific research and technology through cooperation between universities and institutions in both countries.
