The availability of a critical mass of scientists, technologist, engineers and innovators are vital to achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs), STI Strategy for Africa (STISA 2024), the ECOWAS Policy on Science and Technology (ECOPOST) and the National STI Policy 1524 of The Gambia. To ensure that we take stock of existing potentials and capabilities in these vast fields and to create a community for mutual engagement and collaborations between and among local expertise both home and abroad, the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology will create a database of existing talents to facilitate these engagements locally and overseas.
