On Sunday, 24th August 2025, the Honourable Minister of Higher Education, Prof. Pierre Gomez, continued his nationwide tour of regional TVET institutions across The Gambia.
The Hon. Minister and team first visited Sinchu Yerro Wutta Agribusiness TVET Center in CRR South, where the Minister and delegation inspected ongoing construction works, including classrooms, offices, staff quarters, and student dormitories.
The delegation then proceeded to Madina Lamin Kanteh Multipurpose TVET Center in CRR North, where the team toured fully equipped workshops and classrooms for Automotive, Welding, Carpentry, and Construction, as well as staff quarters and a cafeteria.
The level of work at both sites is impressive, and contractors have been urged to expedite progress, as both centers are expected to be fully operational by September 2026.
The Ministry extends its sincere thanks to MRC Holland Foundation, Brighter Futures, the Governor, Chiefs, National Assembly Members, and local authorities for their continued support and ownership of these important national projects.
