MoHERST - The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening ties with the People's Republic of China during a high-level meeting with officials from the Chinese Embassy.

The discussions, led by the Deputy Permanent Secretary (Technical), Mr. Mucktarr M.Y. Darboe, centered on expanding bilateral cooperation in technical and vocational education (TVET).

A key highlight was the review of ongoing efforts to establish a Luban workshop at the University of Applied Science, Engineering and Technology (USET). This initiative, a cornerstone of the Gambia-China partnership in education, is poised to significantly enhance practical, hands-on skills training for our students, equipping them with cutting-edge technical expertise.

MoHERST extends its gratitude to the Chinese Embassy in The Gambia for its unwavering support and looks forward to the successful realisation of this and other collaborative projects that align with our national development goals.
