A delegation from the Embassy of China, responsible for MOFCOM affairs, including short-term and long-term training programmes and seminars, paid a courtesy call on the Permanent Secretary at the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, Ms. Isatou Auber.

The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen bilateral cooperation in human capital development. Discussions focused on enhancing collaboration in key areas aligned with the Government’s National Development Plan (NDP).

During the meeting, both sides explored opportunities to expand skills development and academic advancement, particularly for young professionals and university lecturers. They emphasized the importance of sustained partnerships in driving innovation and strengthening the education sector.

The Ministry expressed gratitude for the invaluable support of the Chinese Government and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining the already cordial relationship. The Chinese delegation, led by Counselor Zhan Tong, in turn, expressed its readiness to support ongoing and future initiatives.
