
CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: GIRAV SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
The Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology (MoHERST) is pleased to announce a call for applications for the GIRAV Scholarship Opportunities funded by the World Bank and implemented by the Ministry of Lands, Regional Government and Religious Affairs.
Four (4) scholarship opportunities have been secured for Gambian students to pursue a four-year Bachelor’s Degree in Land Surveying and Geomatics at Makerere University, Uganda.
Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must have:
* At least Five (5) Credits in WASSCE/GCE or equivalent qualifications, including:
* English Language
* Mathematics
* Physics
Credits in any of the following subjects will be considered an added advantage:
* Chemistry
* Geography
* Economics
* Technical Drawing
Applicants must also:
* Not be more than 22 years old at the time of application.
* Have obtained their WASSCE or equivalent results in not more than two (2) sittings.
Application Process
Applicants are required to:
1. Pay a non-refundable application fee of D100 through GovPay.
2. Complete the MoHERST Google Form using the link below:

3. Submit hard copies of all relevant documents, including:
* Certificates
* Result slips/transcripts
* Passport copy
* Attestations
* Bank payment receipt
* Any other supporting documents
All documents should be submitted to the Ministry of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology on or before Thursday, 25th June 2026.
