The University of Education, The Gambia has officially unveiled its first-ever degree programmes, marking a historic milestone in the country’s higher education sector.
At a ceremony held earlier today, Vice Chancellor Prof. Adamu Ahmed announced the full list of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes the university will offer. The launch introduces a range of innovative courses, some of which are being offered for the first time by a university of education in The Gambia.
The newly unveiled programmes include:

8. B.A. French Education
9. B.A. History Education
10. B.A. Islamic Studies
11. B.Sc. Economics Education
ADDITIONAL UNDERGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
1. B.A. Civic Education
2. B.A. Education (Arabic Language)
3. B.Ed. in Primary Education
4. B.Ed. in Early Childhood Education
5. B.Sc. Science with specializations in:
a. Home Management
b. Food and Nutrition
c. Clothing and Textile
POSTGRADUATE PROGRAMMES
1. M.Ed. Educational Administration and Management
2. MSc. in Education Management Information System (MSc EMIS)

The university described the development as a major step toward expanding access to specialised teacher education and strengthening the country’s higher education landscape. The unveiling is widely regarded as a landmark achievement in the ongoing transformation of tertiary education in The Gambia.
