The Honourable Minister of Higher Education, Research, Science and Technology, Professor Pierre Gomez, today received the President of the Gabonese Republic, His Excellency Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema, at the University of The Gambia’s Faraba Campus.
The visit formed part of President Nguema’s official programme in The Gambia and highlighted the country’s continued investment in higher education, research, science, and innovation.
During the tour, President Nguema visited the Dr. Adesina School of Agriculture and Environmental Sciences and the Alieu Badara Joof Library, where he was briefed on key academic programmes, research initiatives, and the University’s contribution to national development.
The visit reaffirmed the importance of strengthening cooperation between The Gambia and Gabon through higher education, research, science, innovation, and knowledge exchange.
