
Position: Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist
The Student Revolving Loan Scheme (SRLS), a statutory institution established in 2025 to promote equitable access to tertiary and higher education in The Gambia, invites applications from qualified and dynamic professionals for the position of Communications and Knowledge Management Specialist.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead development and implementation of communications and public relations strategies
• Manage SRLS digital platforms, social media, and content engagement
• Establish and maintain knowledge management systems and institutional archives
• Promote consistent branding and enhance the Scheme’s public visibility
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Public Relations, Communications, Media Studies, or related field (Master’s advantageous)
• Minimum 5 years’ progressive experience in communications, media, or public relations
• Proven experience in digital platform management; skills in photography, videography, or graphic design are desirable
Competencies:
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Knowledge of media ethics and public communication standards
• Strong analytical, organizational, and professional skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Language Requirements:
• High proficiency in English
• Proficiency in at least two Gambian national languages
